Frequently Asked Questions
Flat battery, can't open — is there a deadbolt that doesn't need batteries?
EASILOK E4. It's 100% mechanical — no batteries, no circuit boards. Smart locks on side doors and sheds die within months from battery leaks and corroded boards. E4 works even after 6 months untouched.
Why not just get a smart lock for my side door?
Because smart locks fail on rarely-used doors. Batteries leak, boards corrode, and you're locked out. EASILOK E4 is mechanical — twist to lock, key to enter, zero maintenance.
Do you need the key to lock it?
No. EASILOK E4: twist to lock on your way out (anti-mislock so you anti-mislock reduces the chance of locking yourself out if you forget your key), key to get back in.
What's the difference between E4 and E2?
Same twist-to-lock mechanism. EASILOK E2 is 304 stainless steel (outdoor/marine grade); E4 is zinc alloy at a lower price — ideal for home side doors, basement doors, and sheds.
